SkillGuidely’s calculators and guides give estimates for education and planning. They are not financial, tax, or legal advice.

Last updated: October 17, 2026

In short: SkillGuidely’s calculators and guides are for learning and planning. They are estimates, not professional advice. Always check important numbers with official sources or a qualified professional.

1. General information only

Everything on skillguidely.com, including our calculators, tables, guides, and examples, is shared for general information and education. We aim to be clear and helpful, but we make no promise that the content is complete, current, or right for your situation.

2. Not financial, tax, or legal advice

SkillGuidely is not a bank, lender, payroll provider, tax preparer, accounting firm, or law firm. We do not give financial, tax, legal, investment, or accounting advice. Before you make a decision about your pay, taxes, loans, or savings, please speak with a licensed professional who knows your full situation, such as a tax professional, accountant, or financial adviser.

3. Calculators give estimates

Our tools, such as the paycheck calculators, overtime calculators, and salary tools, use simplified rules and the numbers you type in. For example, our paycheck calculators assume the standard deduction and do not include dependents, tax credits, extra withholding, or special rules for bonuses. Your real pay stub, tax return, or loan payment can be different because of:

  • Your Form W-4 and state withholding forms.
  • Benefits, retirement plans, and other deductions from your employer.
  • Tax credits, itemized deductions, and other personal factors.
  • Union contracts, company pay policies, and local rules.
  • Changes in tax rates, wage limits, or the law.

4. Accuracy and tax years

We build our paycheck and tax tools from official sources, such as the IRS, state tax agencies, and the US Department of Labor, and we label the tax year on each page. Tax rules change often, and mistakes can happen. Please double-check key figures with the official source, for example the IRS Tax Withholding Estimator or your state’s department of revenue, before you rely on them.

5. Advertising disclosure

SkillGuidely is free to use. To cover our costs, the site may show ads, including ads from Google AdSense and other networks. Ads are labeled as ads, and they never change the results of a calculator. We do not promise or endorse any product or service shown in an ad. We may also add affiliate links in the future, and if we do, we will say so clearly on the page. Learn how ads and cookies work in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

6. External links

Our pages may link to other websites, such as government agencies. We do this to help you, but we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

7. No professional relationship

Using our website, or emailing us a question, does not create an adviser–client, accountant–client, or attorney–client relationship. We cannot review your personal tax or payroll situation or tell you what to do with your money.

8. Limitation of liability

You use SkillGuidely at your own risk. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for any loss or damage, including financial loss, that comes from using the website or from relying on any estimate or information on it. Our full Terms & Conditions explain this in more detail.

9. Errors and corrections

If you find a wrong rate, a typo, or a bug in a calculator, please let us know at contact@skillguidely.com. We review every report and fix confirmed problems as quickly as we can.
