How to report content on SkillGuidely that you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your material was removed.

Last updated: October 17, 2026

1. Our respect for copyright

SkillGuidely respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects everyone who uses our website to do the same. All of our calculators, text, and designs are created for this site. If you believe that something on skillguidely.com copies your copyrighted work without permission, you can ask us to remove it under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) by following the steps below.

2. How to file a takedown notice

Your written notice must include all of the following:

  1. Your full name and a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person allowed to act for the owner.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. The exact web address (URL) of the page on our site that has the material, so we can find it.
  4. Your contact details: email address, and a postal address or phone number.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are allowed to act for the owner.

3. Where to send your notice

Email your complete notice to contact@skillguidely.com with the subject line “DMCA Notice”. Please do not use this address for general questions. For those, use our Contact page.

4. What happens next

When we receive a complete notice, we will review it and, if it is valid, remove or disable access to the material promptly. We may send a copy of your notice, or part of it, to the person who published the material, and we may tell them that the content was removed. If your notice is missing required details, we may ask you for more information or be unable to act on it.

5. How to file a counter-notice

If you believe we removed your material by mistake, or because it was wrongly identified, you can send a counter-notice to contact@skillguidely.com with the subject line “DMCA Counter-Notice”. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts in your area and will accept legal notices from the person who filed the original notice.

If we get a valid counter-notice, we may send it to the original complainant. We may restore the material after a reasonable period unless the complainant tells us they have started legal action.

6. Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances, we will block or remove the access of users or contributors who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.

7. False claims

Under section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly makes a false claim that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. If you are not sure whether something is infringing, please talk to a lawyer first.
